Application Process
Application Criteria
Readiness
Academic Ability
Our desire is for all graduates to be prepared for college academics. Therefore, every student is expected to perform within a rigorous, classical academic environment.
Behavior
We believe a child’s education is enhanced by a disciplined and orderly environment, so we expect students to demonstrate the biblical virtues of kindness, reconciliation, politeness, respect, and self-discipline.
English Language Proficiency
To ensure students are set up for success in our community, we require all new students be proficient in English.
Demographics
Income
We primarily serve families who normally would not be able to access a private, Christian education. We are committed to having more than 75% of our students come from households that meet low-income guidelines (i.e. Free & Reduced lunch).
Ethnicity
Our goal is to serve an ethnically diverse population.
Commitment
Students
Students are held to high standards regarding both academics and character, especially once they have entered the Upper School.
Families
We value close partnership with our students’ families, and we require all families to participate in their child’s education, particularly in Lower School.
Parents must sign the parent covenant as outlined by Hope Academy’s partner school Hope Academy (Minneapolis, MN). Read the covenant here.
