Christian

What do we mean by “Christian”?

“[Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”

St. Paul in Colossians 1.15-17

Christian

If all things were truly created by Christ, through Christ and for Christ, then that means that nothing can be understood properly and fully apart from Christ. There is no Hope at Hope Academy without Christ. He is our only Hope in life and in death. At Hope Academy, Christ Jesus thoroughly permeates and saturates everything we teach, we discuss, we celebrate, and we communicate. Christ is not just an “ingredient” in “the cake”—He is the whole cake!

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”

— King Solomon in Proverbs 1.7

What are ways that Hope Academy is Christian?

People

All faculty & staff are committed followers of Christ, committed to their church communities, and who believe that God has called them to share the love of Jesus with your child. They are not perfect, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3.23), but by God’s grace they are being renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4.16). This is the life they are inviting you and your child into.

Prayer

The faculty & staff at Hope Academy are committed to praying for you and your child. They pray privately and publicly for Jesus to be glorified in the hearts and lives of all members of the Hope Academy community and beyond.

Curriculum

The curriculum at Hope Academy is saturated with the truth that all things were created by Jesus, through Jesus, and for Jesus. From math to P.E. and from History to Literature, Jesus permeates it all!
